Agenda item: Update on CDBG project
Discussion about the CDBG meeting with SEH Engineering and the Village employees. We looked at possible light-post styles for the downtown and discussed how to communicate the project plan to property/business owners.
Agenda item: Facade improvement project
Nicki caught us up on a discussion with Todd Johnson with UW Extension. Todd will be helping us to create a resource list for businesses to order facade supplies; signage, awnings, etc. The resource list would be available to local businesses. Todd will also create sketches of what the downtown facade could look like with a few improvements. Todd is a trained architect. The resource list and drawings will be completed this winter.
Agenda item: New bandshell project
Cilla Bauer wrote in an email to Kristina that the Grantsburg music in the park organizers are interested in building a bandshell in Grantsburg. A member of their group is designing a structure and may have it ready to present in the spring.
Agenda item: Updates on the Community Outdoor Recreation area
Brochures and display boards are finished and displayed at Community Bank, the hospital and the library. The Village is generously including the brochures in the December water bills. COR will also be designing a flyer introducing leveled giving to the project. That idea will be presented by members at local organizations’ meetings this December/January.
