Agenda item: Recap of June 19 meeting
Agenda item: Fitness Trail
Presenter: Kelly, Chris
Discussion: Chris will meet with Rodney Meyer later this week to get a second estimate on the gravel trail. There was a suggestion to merge the trail together when the two side run parallel. Chris will make this change in the design. Chris will also look at refilling the volleyball court with mason sand as the sand is currently too course for beach volleyball. The estimated cost to install and maintain the fitness trail is 100k. GRO has raised 15k thus far.
Agenda item: Splash Pad
Presenter: Caylin was unable to attend
Discussion: The new pool manager, Sarah Covey has been invited to join the COR committee. It’s estimated that the spash pad will cost $225k. We are still looking for a draft of what a splash pad might look like. Kristina will ask Caylin if she has anything yet.
Agenda item: Playground
Presenter: Steph and Amanda
Discussion: Steph has submitted a grant application to the playground product company. If GRO were awarded the grant they would do a 50/50 match, for an estimated overall cost of 200k. There has been a redesign of the playground in colors to match the new Grantsburg logo.
Agenda item: Fundraising

Discussion: Nicki will begin to create a fundraising tab on the GRO webpage. She will also set up a GoFundMe account for individuals to donate. Nicki will also employ a designer to come up with a brochure. The printing will be paid for with Operation Round-up funds. We also hope to put up a fundraising thermometer on the highway on the pool property. There was a lot of discussion where grants could also be sought. Checks should be written to Grantsburg VIP- memo: GRO COR. All this will be ready by Monday, August 13 in order to bring the projects to the Grantsburg Village Board.
