Mike agreed that the study should be brought to the Grantsburg Village board at their January meeting. Ted Gerber, on the housing committee will present the study findings at a meeting of the Burnett County board.

The downtown Community Block Development Grant project is at an endpoint for the winter months.
Agenda item: Downtown / Façade Plan Update
Todd Johnson of UW Extension reported to the Village Plan Commission at their December 16 meeting. He said that there have been nearly 300 responses to the online survey. This spring Todd will next work with one interested downtown business owner to create a façade design. If other business/property owners are interested, after viewing the first design, Todd will also create plans for them free of charge.
Agenda item: Campground expansion
Dale reported that SEH engineering has asked the committee to complete a list of questions. Hopes are that ground breaking could be in the spring.
Agenda item: Community Outdoor Recreation area
Nicki reported that she accepted a donation for the splash pad project from the Green Bay Packers Foundation. Grantsburg Rotary also donated $1,000 toward the project. There is approximately $30,000 of the needed $200,000 of the funds raised. The committee has a lot of avenues to pursue for more funding that they will work on as time allows.
Agenda item: Grantsburg Area Map
The Town Renewal committee has completed the Grantsburg Village and area map. They teamed up with Tracy Klatt of Burnett County Land Office. The maps can be viewed and downloaded at GRO’s and the Village’s websites. Burnett County Sentinel has agreed to have the maps on file at their office for printing on demand. A double-sided 11”x17” map will cost $1.30 each.
Item: Kiosks
Nicki reported that we have overrun the budget on the panels for the kiosks. Additional costs will be incurred to complete the panels. Work still needs to be done to finalize the maps that will appear on each panel before they can be printed and mounted. Kyle will work with the designer on finalizing the maps.
Item: Airport and ski trails
Georgianne reported that the Airport is planning on adding rustic camping to the airport that will be used by pilots flying in and that there is a car available for their use as well. Bringing in tourism dollars via the airport could be a possibility. The runway still needs resurfacing which is currently before the Village Board. Rod has also been grooming the ski trails and they are in very good condition.
