Agenda item: Update on CDBG project
Members of the committee were happy to be a part of the discussion to select the new light posts for the downtown project. The group is working with an artist to design light post banners. Public workers Director, Chris Bartlett said the project is currently being advertised and bids will be opened on March 25th.
Agenda item: Façade improvement project
Kristina heard from University of Wisconsin River Falls Professor Chris Holtkamp about a possible date his students will come up and present to GRO and the business owners . We are currently looking at April 29th and 30th for a possible meeting date.
Responses to the community survey from the local business/property owners have been good. Nicki has confirmed with Todd Johnson of UW River Falls that once the students have their work done and the surveys are in, he will work with us to design a facade plan.
Agenda item: Community Outdoor Recreation Area
Kelly gave us a progress report on the COR project. Funding for the fitness trail is done and the contractors are ready to begin work on the trail . Fundraising banners have been hung by the public works department near the community pool sign. We have begun fundraising for the splash pad and have several community partners, including Grantsburg Rotary and Parker Hannifin, who are applying for a grant for the splash pad.
There are a number of splash pad fundraisers planned for Big Gust Days.
Agenda item: Repainting of bike lanes in village
Chris Bartlett gave a proposed budget for repainting of the bike lanes of $621.75 . Committee members are in favor of partially funding the repainting of the bike lanes. Kristina will ask that the village board also contribute to the lanes project at the May 13th meeting to gauge if there is any interest among the board in having the lanes in town again.
Agenda item: Community Clean-up
Kristina heard from Chris Bartlett that he is interested in hosting another community cleanup day with volunteers. It will be held Friday, May 17th. High school teacher Heidi Jensen has said there are 24 juniors that are willing to participate in the cleanup. Areas of focus might be painting the rails of the dam, painting the doors on the yellow shed, the Big Gust statue case, staining tables at Memory Lake park, the parking lot behind the post office and painting park pavilions.
Larry volunteered to help the students. Ben said there may be a few employees from Parker Hannifin that would be willing to help too.

Tracy Klatt of Burnet County Land Information and GIS office drafted both Grantsburg area and village maps. Nicki has sent suggested revisions.
Other business: Kristina passed out flyers for the downtown bench fundraiser.
